picture shows winner Invi Covintion and runner up J'Ceon Tate

On January 21st, the Spelling Bee was held at Jefferson. It consisted of the winner of a class-wide Spelling Bee from each 4th and 5th grade class. These Super Spellers battled until Invi Covington was named the winner and J'Ceon Tate as the runner-up. We were very proud as Invi represented Jefferson well at the District Spelling Bee on February 13th.

On December 11th, our Jefferson Math Team, the HeHeHe Bees competed against other 5th grade teams in the County. They used their math skills in an individual mental math competition as well as cooperate as a team in multiple problem solving tasks.

The competition ended with the top 8 "Mathletes" competing in a head to head battle round. Jefferson's Savannah Raudez was the runner-up in this intense individualized math duel. We are so proud of all of the efforts of this team.

We are so proud of our Carl DeBrew Hero, Jamir Livsey and our Agape Award Winner, Mrs. Emma Goforth. Both of these Jefferson Bees work very hard and go above and beyond to make life better for themselves and those around them. We are so blessed to have Jamir and Mrs. Goforth at Jefferson!!
